Hi! I'm Carlo, a Computer Science Master's student at the University of Copenhagen (KU), specializing in Machine Learning and Quantization.
I build AI that is efficient, accessible, and meaningful. If you value scalable software design and the power of "small AI", we should talk!
🎯 My Vision: Small AI, Big Impact
I believe the future of AI is about making it smarter and more accessible. I’m passionate about Open Source and "Small AI" because:
- Purpose-driven: Building models with clear goals makes them safer.
- Efficient: Optimized AI saves energy and reduces costs.
- Scalable: True scalability means technology that everyone can use.
🌍 From Padua to Copenhagen
My journey started in Padua (Italy), where I earned my Bachelor’s. Driven by curiosity for innovation and people, I moved to Copenhagen. Here, I'm deepening my expertise in AI while embracing the dynamic Nordic tech scene.
🔬 Research & Discovery
I spent a summer as a Machine Learning Intern researching AI-driven fact-checking and propaganda detection. I explored the intersection of syntax and meaning, comparing Tree Kernel methods with LLMs like BERT and RoBERTa.
⚡ Beyond the Screen
When I'm not "convincing the compiler" to share my vision (usually in Rust), I'm:
- Building a startup to boost Open Source collaboration across Europe.
- Diving into sci-fi and fantasy worlds like The Foundation or Game of Thrones.
- Exploring human ideas through journaling and reading.
All of this, of course, with a heavy dose of techno music in the background.
